Edit for conversion: audience retention, platform algorithms and the psychological triggers that drive engagement.
Analyse how videos perform in market and refine your editing style with the performance and SMM teams.
The role
We are seeking a highly technical and creatively strategic Video Editor to support our expanding digital marketing and branding initiatives. This role goes beyond traditional post-production: you are deeply engaged in how AI is transforming video creation, workflow automation and visual storytelling – and you use those advancements to deliver high-impact content.
Who you are
A media-tech early adopter: you research, test and master emerging AI video models and automated workflows before they become standard.
AI-integrated, not AI-replaced: generative fill, AI voiceovers, automated transcription, dynamic rotoscoping, text-to-video – used to optimise production timelines.
A performance-driven storyteller: in a marketing environment, video is a conversion mechanism – you edit accordingly.
Adaptable and forward-thinking: when a better workflow appears, you dismantle the old one and rebuild.
What you bring
Traditional mastery: exceptional proficiency in industry-standard NLEs (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut) and motion graphics (After Effects).
AI tool integration: proven experience incorporating AI platforms into daily editing workflows.
Cross-platform delivery: aspect ratios, compression standards and format requirements for high-growth social and performance campaigns.
Quality control: zero-defect colour grading, audio mixing and visual flow, aligned to each client's identity.
What success looks like: your first 90 days
The shorts pipeline runs transcript-first: webinar in, publishable clips out, at a cost per video the team can predict.
Every retainer client has a living brand kit in the project: templates, type, colour, sound: consistency by system, not memory.
Turnaround times are visibly down with AI doing the tedious 80%, and nothing ships without your frame-accurate human pass.
Where this seat goes
This seat grows into post-production leadership: owning the pipeline, the quality bar and the editors who join after you.
How you will work here
Sector cells, not silos. You work inside industry-focused teams alongside strategists, media and creative: close enough to see what your work does to a client’s revenue.
AI-forward by default. Tooling handles the repetitive 80% of every discipline here: you are hired for the judgment on top of it, and trained to keep widening that gap.
Writing culture. Decisions, briefs and reviews live in writing. You will get clearer feedback in a month than most agencies give in a year.
Direct exposure. Client rooms, real numbers, honest reviews: nobody here is kept three layers from the consequences of their work.
Flexi hours, flexi days. On-site, but outcomes over clock-watching: start times, breaks and the occasional day are flexible by policy, not by favour.
